4 Scriptures That Remind Us That We Are Overcomers

The Bible calls us who get through trials and struggles OVERCOMERS.

That sounds so good doesn’t it? Sometimes, I don’t feel like an overcomer.

Sometimes the world can weigh me down and stop me in my tracks. Have you ever felt that way?

It’s important for us to remember that Jesus reminded us to be of good cheer because He has overcome the worldThere are times we forget that. Especially in the times we’re living in. I’ve had many loved ones sick from Covid 19.

It hurt my heart to see them suffer.

Just to hear how utterly exhausted they were because of the havoc the virus was creating for them internally. They weren’t just tired, they could barely move their own bodies. They could barely breathe, they couldn’t taste or smell and they struggled with so many other symptoms.

It was horrible to know that they were this miserable!

When I get down because of it, I hear the words “be of good cheer, I’ve overcome that”.

I prayed and prayed, and thankfully my family members and friends have been getting better from this, each day.

One of them told me that they never wanted to experience that again in their lives.

I know that all of them were probably saying the same thing.

They are true overcomers. I admire their strength to get through that horrible terrifying virus.

You may have had someone who was ill or maybe even lost someone to this virus from hell.

I’m so sorry! I send love and prayers your way.

My prayer for you today:

God bless all the people who have been affected by this virus. Please heal broken hearts and confused minds. We don’t know your plan for this but you said that “those who overcome the world, believe in you.” (1 john 5:5). God we believe in You. Please hear our cries to remove this virus from the earth.

In this post, I just want to give you some verses that are reminders that you’re an overcomer.

1 JOHN 5:4-5

…for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is that overcomes the world? Only the one believes that Jesus is the son of God. (NIV)

JOHN 16: 33

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (NIV)

ROMANS 8:37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

1 JOHN 4:4

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them. Because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Times are tough but these passages remind us that Jesus is never far and He’s in control.

I’m choosing to believe that He knows the end of this horrible time and He holds it in His hand.

I find comfort in that, I hope you do too.

Again, I pray for you as you get through this hard time.

I know that God is with you even when you can’t feel Him.

Talk to Him. He will listen.

Believe that He will answer you.

He will wrap His loving arms around you if you let Him.

I pray for you.
