How to Build a Relationship with God (Part 2)

It’s important that we get to know God.

We should know that He is good, even when things don’t go our way.

He is fair and just, no matter what we feel.

The God of the Universe doesn’t owe us anything, but He freely gives us grace.

You want wisdom? He gives it freely, when we ask for it.

All these things we learn when we take the time to get to know Him.

How to Build a Relationship with God (Part 1)

Has your heart been searching?

Do you feel an emptiness that nothing can fulfill?

Searching can be draining and frustrating. I’ve been there and no matter how much I tried I couldn’t fill the empty space on my own.

The constant overwhelming yearning for peace in our souls drives us to unhealthy – unrecognizable versions of ourselves.

Where do we turn? Who do we turn to?

Don’t Give Up! God Has a Plan For You!

Sometimes, I even think that I heard God’s call wrong. Was He really talking to me all those times, or was I eavesdropping on someone else’s calling?

When my understanding of what I should be doing returns, and I try again and it seems like things don’t work like I planned.

I get frustrated and I just want to quit…I want to give up. Is it really worth it to keep trying to reach my dreams and goals, when life gets in the way?

Just at the point of me giving up, I feel a gentle, loving, sweet nudge and that’s when I realize I haven’t consulted my HELP – The Holy Spirit – and He reminds me: “I have a plan.”

3 Ways God Calls Us to Obedience

I thought that until I actually started truly seeking my purpose in life.

As we look to Christmas and celebrating the arrival of the Greatest Gift of all time, I want to look at how obedience is an important part of the Christmas story.

Three people in this story show what it means to be truly obedient and their lives change forever because of it.

Here are 3 ways God calls us to be obedient.

Three Ways to Practice Thankfulness

Three Ways to Practice Thankfulness

This is the time of year when we take a step back and reflect on what we’re thankful for.

We let others know that we’re thankful for them.

Some practice a tradition of verbally telling what they are thankful for around a feast fit for royalty.

This is also the time when people hit the busy stores in search of those expensive gifts that may or may not satisfy the receiver.
