Trust God: 10 Bible Passages to Remind Us That God’s Got This!

God is sovereign. That means He’s in control.

When we wake up in the morning, it may look like we’re alone in this world.

But, no matter how bad it looks, as Christians we have to remember that we have MIGHTY POWER backing us.

He is the Beginning and the End. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is God!

Because I know those things about Him, I can read the Word with confidence that He’s still in control.

If you don’t believe me I wanted to include some passages that back me up.

These passages tell us that God is still on the throne.

Scriptures:

Passage #1

Psalm 46:10 NIV He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Being still is something that I’m not always successful at doing.

I want everything fixed now. I want God to fix it now.

I’ve been hearing people say lately that they don’t learn when things are easy. They usually have to learn the hard way.

I think I’m one of those people.

When it feels like I’m in the same lesson over and over, I need to think about,

am I being still?

am I trusting God to handle my situation?

Right now, in the pandemic and social unrest, it looks like everything is over.

It looks like we’re never going to get out of this.

When you are down, remember God’s words: “Be still, and know that I am God.”

He will be exalted!

Passage #2

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

There are so many things that have been going on in this world.

I just have to close my eyes and pray because I don’t understand.

When it seems like evil is winning, I have to look to God.

I may not understand it, but He knows what to do.

He is protecting me from more than I could ever know. Just because I can’t see it happening, doesn’t mean it’s not.

I have to trust in my Lord, I have to submit to Him. He will guide me.

I seek God through faith, continue living for Him, and remember He knows the way.

Passage #3

Isaiah 26:3 NIV You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

When we put our minds on God, we can’t help but to have peace.

As believers we have to focus on God.

We should be reading His word.

Praying…If we could come together on one accord we could change some things. We could change the world.

Prayer STILL changes things.

We should try the best we can to keep God on our minds. When we focus on Him and not the world and its cares, we can find the supernatural peace of God.

Providing His peace for us shows that He is in control. When I think about it, I have never been more at peace than when I go to him.

Passage #4

Isaiah 41:10 NIV So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God is with us.

We may not see or feel Him, but He is with us.

He will strengthen us. We are in the palm of His hand.

Trust Him. He won’t lose His power and He has already won the battle.

We may not know the outcome, but He is the answer to all over our problems.

Passage #5

Joshua 1:9 NIV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

He doesn’t tell us to fear.

He says to “Be strong and courageous.”

He gives us strength. When we turn our eyes from the world and look to Him we can find strength and courage.

God says He will be with us wherever we go. Wherever means all the places your feet take you. God is there with us.

He isn’t caught off guard by anything.

So be strong and courageous.

Passage #6

Proverbs 29:25 NIV Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.

We let the world tell us everything to do.

If we don’t get it right we feel like we are being left out.

I’m definitely one of those people.

Sometimes, I feel that if I go against what the world says is okay, then I’m wrong.

It’s actually wrong for me to go against what God says.

I can’t fear man and serve God.

It’s all about Him. He’s all that matters.

He won’t force Himself on us. But, if we grant control of our lives to Him, He will loving lead us to the destination He wants for us He has for us.

Passage #7

Psalm 28:7 NIV The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

God makes me strong.

He is my protection.

I have to put my trust in Him.

When we put our trust in Him we are happier.

God is our shield. He is our protection.

His sovereignty includes His love for our well being.

My heart trusts in Him.

Passage #8

Psalm 118:8 NIV It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.

I have to put my trust in God.

I know that He will place the right people around us to keep us safe.

He will Protect us. I put my trust in Him.

Passage #9

Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. [8] They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

God blesses us when we put our trust in Him.

When we truly believe that He is able to do what He says and we have confidence in Him.

We have to be rooted in Him.

Our minds should not sway from what we know

Passage #10

Romans 15:13 NIV May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As you remember to put your trust in God, may He “fill you with hope and peace”.

I honestly believe that I have the peace of God.

There was a time that I was so lost and it felt like everything was out of control.

The more I recognize God’s sovereignty, the more I learn to trust Him.

The more I trust Him, the more He shows me that He’s in control.
